The experiment was performed at Maharajpur Farm under the Department of Horticulture, College Agriculture, J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur (M.P.) during Kharif season 2019-2022 and planted in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. characterization thirty genotype for thirty-five qualitative traits articulated no variability trait i.e., monomorphic non-enveloping fruit calyx cover, two descriptors were found to be moderately diverse, which medium intensity red colour (at mature unripe stage) narrow triangular shape Shannon-Weaver diversity index H'=0.46 & H'=0.50, both these are related traits. descriptor pubescence (hairiness) stem had highest 1.82. studies highlighted some genotypes distinctness, MPKC-1(Katni collection) addressed unique features green purple tinge leaf colour, petal upright orientation, absence curvature, ripening maturity, ovate erect plant habit, depicting it like a wild relative capsicum could utilized as morphological descriptor.
